The US State Department and media are heavily promoting as theology that COVID-19 is "a Chinese virus and China spread it around the world", demanding apologies and more. One American law firm in Florida filed a class action lawsuit against the Chinese government, seeking compensation for `damages`.

Just what we and everyone in the region needs… another Iraq war. Al Masdar News reports that SecDef Esper has approved the new campaign or at least the planning for it. My fear is that Pompeo, O’brien and all the other neocon rat bastards have cracked the code on getting Trump to go along with this madness by lavishing him with the praise and adoration he so desperately desires. It reminds me of an old Abbott and Costello skit. “You bet you life me stinkah.”

90 years ago, in October 1929, the global economic crisis started with a panic on the New York Stock Exchange. By the end of the year, the panic had spread far beyond the New York Stock Exchange. Businesses were shut down, tens and hundreds of thousands of employees were laid off, and American companies, not only small, but also giants, went bankrupt… By 1930, the economic crisis had engulfed Europe, Latin America, Asia, and became the global one. The decline in production (recession) continued everywhere until 1933. America’s national income fell from $87.8 billion in 1929 to $40.2 billion in 1933. More than 135,000 commercial, industrial, and financial companies failed. During the three years of the crisis, almost half of American banks went bankrupt. Then the fall stopped, and a phase of stagnation began. In different countries, the authorities made titanic efforts to pull their economies out of the swamp of stagnation.

Iran has been ravaged by the COVID-19 pandemic, and new US sanctions are making it worse. Alfred de Zayas, a former UN Special Rapporteur, says that intensified US sanctions against Iran and Venezuela during the crisis are "insane", and possibly genocidal.

By Vanessa Beeley - Despite crippling sanctions, years of war, military intervention and a “maximum pressure “campaign that has only increased since the coronavirus began, victims of America’s heavy-handed foreign policy are rising to the challenge. Iran has been hit hard by the pandemic with 850 confirmed deaths to date. It’s Rial lost 80 percent of its value and food costs have nearly doubled. With the country scrambling to handle the crisis, nations are refusing to sell the Islamic Republic medical supplies for fear of running afoul of U.S. sanctions. Iran’s foreign minister Javad Zarif has decried the sanctions numerous times on Twitter. On March 14, Zarif tweeted that “Viruses recognise no politics or geography. Nor should we,” adding that U.S. sanctions against Iran had been seriously hampering the country’s efforts to combat COVID-19.

... Further, because economic sanctions interfere with the functioning of essential infrastructure i.e. electrical grids, water treatment & distribution facilities, transportation hubs, and communication networks by blocking access to key industrial inputs, such as fuel, raw materials, and replacement parts, they lead to droughts, famines, disease, and abject poverty, which results in the death of millions.

The United States excluded Russia’s Independent Petroleum Company (IPC) and its subsidiary IPC-Primornefteprodukt from the list of sanctions related to North Korea, the US Treasury Department said on Monday. Three names of the Russian oil producer Independent Petroleum Company (IPC) and four names of its subsidiary IPC-Primornefteprodukt were deleted from the sanction list, as detailed in the statement. Sanctions against companies were introduced on June 1, 2017, as reported earlier. Earlier frozen assets of companies were unblocked, the US authority said.

Global Geopolitical Chessboard: Psychopathic Players and Cynical Moves Guarantee a Future of Perpetual War. Explosive presentation hosted by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs reveals what no government official, no political representative, no NGO executive and no think tank director has ever said before in public. STRATFOR Founder George Friedman Expresses the Profound Flaws and Extreme Hubris of American Exceptionalism and U.S. Foreign Policy. The preceding map of Eastern Europe and Western Asia represents the most active part of the current global geopolitical chessboard. The few colored lines illustrate the very essence of the Anglo-American geopolitical strategy to maintain world domination and global economic control.

The Washington establishment was aghast in October when Donald Trump appeared to approve a Turkish invasion of northern Syria. The United States was seen as abandoning the Kurds, some of whom had assisted the United States in the fight against ISIS and other terrorist groups. But the indignation over the latest U.S. policy shift in the Middle East is farcical considering the long record of U.S. double-crosses. Rather than the triumph of American idealism, recent U.S. policy has been perpetual perfidy leavened with frequent doses of idiocy. Almost none of the media coverage of the Turkish invasion and flight of Kurdish refugees mentioned that President George H.W. Bush had urged the Kurds and other Iraqis to “take matters into their own hands and force Saddam Hussein, the dictator, to step aside” just before the start of the U.S. bombing campaign in 1991 in the first Gulf War.

A new focus on the Deep State in undermining the national interests has become a serious thought for many citizens. Not known to many, the Deep State has its origin in the British Empire and how the Round Table infiltrated former British colonies (including India) through America. Last year, fuel was added to this fire when internal memos were leaked from the British-run Integrity Initiative featuring a startling account of the techniques deployed by the anti-Russian British operation to infiltrate American intelligence institutions, think tanks and media.

Philip Giraldi - Those hapless individuals who run the United States are again slipping into a fantasy world where Americans are besieged by imaginary threats coming from both inside and outside the country. Of course, it is particularly convenient to warn of foreign threats, as it makes the people in government seem relevant and needed, but one might recommend that the tune be changed as it is getting a bit boring. After all, there are only so many hours in the day and Russian President Vladimir Putin must pause occasionally to eat or sleep, so the plotting to destroy American democracy must be on hold at least some of the time.

The United States has imposed sanctions on 13 foreign entities and individuals in China, Iraq, Russia and Turkey for violating the Iran, North Korea and Syria Nonproliferation Act, US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said in a statement released on Tuesday. "The United States is sanctioning 13 foreign entities and individuals in China, Iraq, Russia, and Turkey pursuant to the Iran, North Korea, and Syria Nonproliferation Act (INKSNA). This action includes new sanctions against five entities/individuals in China and Turkey for supporting Iran`s missile program," the statement said.

Russia and Ukraine should come together, US President Donald Trump told reporters outside the White House on Sunday. When asked to comment on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s words that cooperation between Russia and Ukraine irks some countries as it produces a global competitor for them. "I`d like to see them come together. If they came together in the sense that they got along with each other, that would be a great thing for the world," Trump said before leaving for India on a visit. "If Ukraine and Russia could work out some agreement, when they get along, that would be very good."

Philip Giraldi - The inept course of what passes for United States Foreign Policy continues, with the Trump Administration now going after the nation’s second oldest friend, Great Britain. With Trump having serially insulted America’s oldest ally France last year, it should only have been expected that the Brits would be next on the list, joining the other key European ally Germany, which is being threatened with sanctions over buying gas from Russia.

By Mark Taliano - We’re living in times of war psychosis. Regime Change wars have no basis in international law. They are entirely illegal, and they are all based on lies. We have seen the results, which are always catastrophic for all but certain vested interests and the oligarch ruling classes. Yet, despite the lies, despite the revelations, public consent is successfully fabricated for each new war.

The Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, Wolfgang Ischinger, is focusing the debate of the coming weekend`s conference on the incipient decline of the West. Whereas, in the post-Cold War era western powers enjoyed "almost uncontested freedom of military movement," this is no longer the case today, according to this year`s "Munich Security Report," which Ischinger presented to the public yesterday. Even the "nearly unrivaled global superiority in military technology" NATO had enjoyed for decades, is now endangered. The report quotes French President Emmanuel Macron`s comment: "We were used to an international order that had been based on Western hegemony since the 18th century. Things change."

For the last half-century, US and UK capitalisms led the way in undoing the parallel legacies of the New Deal and Europe’s social democracies. From its ascending Thatcher-Reagan couple to its descending Trump-Johnson imitation, neoliberal capitalism replaced Keynesian capitalism. Private corporate capitalists funded effective campaigns to celebrate neo-liberalism. The US and UK institutionalized it by de-regulating and privatizing further and faster than anywhere else
